What is the Zendesk Events Connector for Amazon EventBridge?

The Zendesk Events Connector for Amazon EventBridge is a tool that allows you to stream event data from Zendesk to Amazon EventBridge. This enables you to build event-driven applications that can react to Zendesk events by redirecting them to various AWS services like AWS Lambda, Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, and Amazon Kinesis streams.

By using this architecture, you can reduce dependencies and overhead from API-based integrations and API management. However, it's important to note that Zendesk is discontinuing this feature. As of August 12, 2024, you can't configure new events with the Zendesk Events Connector, but existing connections will continue to work until December 1, 2025.
