Mike is an experienced Product Manager who focuses on all the “non-development” areas of My AskAI, from finance and customer success to product design, copywriting, testing and more.
Of seven Wonderchat alternatives scored on eight criteria, My AskAI leads at 68/80, with Intercom Fin second on 66/80. At 2,000 conversations a month with two AI replies each, SiteGPT costs least at $118 on its Starter plan, against Wonderchat's $149.
You put Wonderchat on your site, trained it on your help pages and files, and it started answering customers the same day. A few months in, you're probably watching the credits and still passing the harder tickets to your team in the helpdesk. The question now is whether another tool would answer more of your customers for similar money.
I'm Mike, co-founder of My AskAI, so I'm not a neutral party (we're one of the seven). We help 200+ ecommerce and SaaS businesses run AI support inside the helpdesk they already use. Every score below comes from each vendor's pricing, security and help pages.
These tools charge in different ways (per credit, per message or per resolution), so I've priced every one at the same 2,000 conversations a month. For Wonderchat's features and plans in more depth, our complete guide to Wonderchat covers them, and our My AskAI vs Wonderchat comparison puts the two side by side.
⚡
My AskAI leads the field on 68/80, at $319 a month on its Pro plan for this volume, and each of the other six suits a different kind of team.
My AskAI (best for AI replies inside your current helpdesk) - Replies on Gorgias, HubSpot, Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk and Freshchat tickets, learns from your past tickets, and bills per ticket.
Intercom Fin (best for feature range) - The widest feature set and certification list here, with ISO 27001 and HIPAA on its trust center. It bills $0.99 per outcome.
Chatbase (best like-for-like website agent) - Standard, at $150, gives 4,000 message credits, enough for this volume. It can reply to Zendesk tickets directly or open tickets in your helpdesk.
Zendesk AI agents (best for keeping helpdesk and AI with one vendor) - Long-established, with ISO 27001 alongside SOC 2 Type II. It serves Zendesk teams only and has the largest AI bill in this set.
SiteGPT (best for the lowest bill) - $118 a month at this volume, with one $59 pack adding 5,000 messages. Answering inside Zendesk takes its $429 Scale plan.
Tidio (Lyro) (best if you want a live chat inbox too) - Lyro sits on top of Tidio's chat platform, with Shopify product recommendations. At 2,000 AI conversations the price comes from Tidio's sales team.
Botsonic (best for a widget trained on your documents) - Fast to build from files and links. Live handover to Zendesk agents takes a $199 add-on, which brings this volume to $273 a month.
What are the alternatives to Wonderchat?
⚡
TL;DR: They fall into four kinds: other no-code website chatbots, a chat platform with AI built in, the AI agents helpdesk companies sell, and an AI agent that answers inside the helpdesk you already run. Which fits depends on where your customers write in and how you want to be billed.
Wonderchat is a no-code AI agent platform that answers customers from the content you give it. It bills in message credits, with a monthly credit allowance on its paid plans.
I group the tools people weigh against it into four kinds:
Other no-code website chatbots - Chatbase, SiteGPT and Botsonic work the way Wonderchat does, with a widget you train on your site and files.
A chat platform with AI built in - Tidio gives you a live chat inbox with its Lyro AI agent on top.
The AI agents helpdesk companies sell - Intercom Fin, which charges per outcome, and Zendesk AI agents, which charge per automated resolution.
An AI agent inside the helpdesk you already run - My AskAI installs as an approved app in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Freshchat, Gorgias or HubSpot, and has its own website widget too.
The right group for you depends on where your customers write in, and whether you'd rather pay per conversation, per ticket or per resolution.
What's the overall comparison of these 7 Wonderchat alternatives?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI leads on 68/80 with Intercom Fin two points behind on 66/80, and the other five sit between 52 and 61. SiteGPT wins cost outright, while Fin and Zendesk AI agents share the top marks on security and maturity.
I scored each tool out of 10 on eight criteria, for an Overall out of 80.

Between the top two, we take the helpdesk, setup, training and cost rows, Fin takes features, security and maturity, and the two tie on improving over time.
Below them, Chatbase is the strongest of the website builders. Zendesk AI agents come fourth on 57, level with Fin on security and maturity but answering only inside Zendesk and costing about $1,478 a month here in AI resolution charges at the committed rate, with Suite seats on top. SiteGPT, Tidio and Botsonic follow on 54, 53 and 52.

How did I select these Wonderchat alternatives?
⚡
TL;DR: Every tool here runs without developers, answers customers on the website or in the helpdesk, and publishes enough about pricing and security to score. The set excludes Shopify-only tools, enterprise-only platforms and suites that replace your whole helpdesk.
Answers customers directly - on the website, in chat or inside a helpdesk.
Publishes its pricing and security - enough on its own pages to score cost and security on the same basis as the rest.
Fits a team Wonderchat serves - small and mid-sized support teams, with a self-serve plan or a published starting price.
How did I compare them?
⚡
TL;DR: Eight criteria, each scored out of 10 for a total out of 80, chosen for what changes a support team's day or its bill.
The eight criteria are helpdesk fit, ease of setup, training sources, features, improvement over time, security, maturity and cost. Every price comes from the vendor's pricing page on monthly billing, and every security mark from its own pages.
Works with your helpdesk
If your team answers email and chat in a helpdesk, this criterion asks what happens there: does the AI answer inside the helpdesk, create a ticket for your team, or keep its conversations in an inbox of its own? It scores highest when your agents can see the AI's answers and the handover without leaving the helpdesk they already use.
Ease of setup
I score how long it takes before the AI answers a real customer, and whether a support lead can get it there alone. I've assumed you use AI to draft instructions and tidy help articles, which cuts most setup work to an hour or two.
Training sources
Here I look at what the AI can learn from: help centers, websites, files, cloud drives and, most useful of all for a new agent, your past tickets. Past tickets hold your team's real answers, which you'd otherwise have to write out as help articles.
Features
This is what the AI can do beyond answering questions. I count order lookups and refunds, handovers with a summary, ticket tagging, topic reports and reply drafts for your agents.
The strongest tools learn from your team's replies, point out questions the AI couldn't answer, and let you test a change before customers see it.
Security
I score the certifications each vendor states on its own pages, such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA. Where a certification is only on an enterprise plan, I say so.
Maturity
Maturity weighs how established the product and the company are, and how much named customer proof they publish.
Cost
This is what each tool costs at 2,000 conversations a month for a team of three agents, on monthly billing. For tools priced by message or credit, I assume two AI replies per conversation. For tools priced per resolution, I assume the AI resolves half, which is 1,000 resolutions.
Every tool is priced on its cheapest plan that covers that volume and whatever else it's scored for. Helpdesk AI is priced on its AI charges alone, because you pay for the helpdesk seats either way.
Is My AskAI a good Wonderchat alternative?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI is an AI agent that answers inside Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Freshchat, Gorgias and HubSpot, and on your website through its own widget. It trains on your historic tickets on every plan and learns from your team's replies. At 2,000 conversations a month it costs $319 on Pro.
We built My AskAI for teams whose customers already reach them through a helpdesk. It installs from the helpdesk's own marketplace and answers in the inbox your agents use, so a handover is a note on the same ticket. Where a website chat is all you need, our widget does that job too.
My AskAI homepage hero section
G2: My AskAI scores 4.5/5 from 23 reviews on G2. "The AI Agent consistently answered 70% of our support requests with no tweaking after the first knowledge base sync... quickly got us up to 80% deflection." Alan P., Head of Customer Success, via G2.
How does My AskAI work with your helpdesk?
We run inside Zendesk (tickets and messaging), Intercom, Freshdesk, Freshchat, Gorgias and HubSpot as an approved marketplace app. The AI replies through the helpdesk's own chat, messaging and email channels, so customers never leave the thread they started.
When the AI hands over, it writes a summary as an internal note and stays quiet until an agent hands the ticket back. Your macros, tags and routing rules stay as they are, and if you change helpdesk later, the trained agent moves with you.
How easy is it to set up My AskAI?
Most teams connect a help center and install the app in 10 to 15 minutes, with no developer involved. From there the AI drafts every reply as an internal note, so you can read its answers on live tickets before any customer sees one.
I like this step because it answers "is it good enough?" with your own tickets. The part that takes longer is writing guidance for sensitive topics, and that goes quickly when you draft it with AI.
What knowledge sources can I train My AskAI on?
We read help centers in Zendesk, Intercom and Freshdesk (including articles behind a login), websites, PDF and Word files, Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Salesforce and Shopify. Custom answers let you fix the exact wording for a policy or a regulated reply.
On every plan we also train on your historic tickets. We draft knowledge articles from your last 5,000 tickets by default, and you review them before they go live. For a team with a thin help center, past tickets often hold the best answers. Chatbase reads past tickets on its $500 Pro plan; ours starts at $199.
What features does My AskAI have?
Beyond answering, the main features are:
Tasks and Tools - multi-step jobs such as refunds, cancellations and order changes, written in plain language and run against your systems. They bill per use on top of the plan.
Order and account lookups - a ready-made Shopify connection, plus a User Data connection to your systems so the AI can answer "where is my order?" with live data.
AI Copilot Chrome Extension - drafts replies for your agents inside our integrated helpdesks, with no seat charge.
It also answers in 95 languages, detected per message, on whatever channels your helpdesk routes to it, WhatsApp and SMS included. A Slack and Teams add-on puts the same answers in front of your own staff.
How does My AskAI improve over time?
When an agent answers a ticket the AI handed over, Self-Learning compares the two replies and drafts a knowledge article from the difference. You approve it, and the next customer with that question gets the better answer.
Echo, the assistant inside our dashboard, explains why the agent gave any answer and which source it used. It can also turn an uploaded policy document into guidance or a task. Insights emails you when a new topic appears across three or more conversations, so a fresh problem doesn't hide for a month.
How secure is My AskAI?
We hold SOC 2 Type II and are GDPR compliant, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Customer data is never used to train models or sold, and each customer runs in its own isolated container.
Our live trust center has the details a security reviewer will ask for. Fin and Zendesk AI agents list ISO 27001 on top of SOC 2.
How mature is My AskAI?
Alex Rainey and I founded My AskAI, and we still run sales, onboarding and support calls ourselves, so when you message our support it's me or Alex on the other end of the chat. More than 200 ecommerce and SaaS businesses use it, and our agents have resolved over 1,000,000 tickets.
Intercom and Zendesk have been at this far longer, with much bigger customer lists, which is why they score higher on this row.
How much does My AskAI cost?
Pro is $199 a month with 1,000 credits included, then $0.12 a credit. On helpdesk chat, two AI replies use one credit, so a typical chat conversation is one credit. At 2,000 conversations that's $199 + 1,000 × $0.12 = $319 a month.
We charge per ticket, whether or not the AI resolves it, so the bill doesn't climb as the AI gets better. Scale is $499 with 2,000 credits and $0.10 a credit after that, for higher volume or several brands. Usage add-ons such as AI Tagging and Tasks bill on top when you use them.
We give you 30 days free to test all of it, with every feature unlocked, unlimited tickets and no card.
Who is using My AskAI?
TravelJoy runs support in Zendesk and moved off Zendesk's own AI agent, which was resolving 24% of tickets. With My AskAI it now resolves 80% with AI and saves 193 hours a month.
YouGarden runs My AskAI in Freshdesk on about 12,000 tickets a month. It resolves 66% with AI and saves 965 hours a month.
Where My AskAI loses
Five places where another tool here does more than we do:
Intercom Fin lists more security certifications - it lists ISO 27001 and HIPAA alongside SOC 2.
Zendesk AI agents come from the more established vendor - one company for helpdesk and AI, with ISO 27001 certification and customers like Liberty London and Lush.
SiteGPT and Chatbase cost less for a website widget - $118 and $150 at this volume, against our $319.
SiteGPT and Fin take a few extra source types - SiteGPT reads YouTube videos and GitHub, and Fin syncs Guru and Box, none of which are on our list.
Fin edits your help center from the inbox - its Improve Answer button updates the source article, while the articles our Self-Learning drafts go into My AskAI's own knowledge.
✅
Choose My AskAI if:
Your team answers in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Freshchat, Gorgias or HubSpot, and you want the AI in that same inbox.
You have years of tickets but a thin help center, and want the AI to start from your team's past answers.
You want to read the AI's drafts as internal notes on live tickets before it talks to customers.
You want a per-ticket price that doesn't climb as the AI resolves more.
❌
Don't choose My AskAI if:
You only need a website widget and the lowest possible bill; SiteGPT and Chatbase cost less.
Your security review asks the AI vendor for ISO 27001 or a HIPAA agreement.
You want your helpdesk and your AI agent from one company.
Is Intercom Fin a good Wonderchat alternative?
⚡
TL;DR: Intercom Fin is the most complete AI agent in this set, native to Intercom and able to run on Zendesk, Freshdesk and HubSpot. It lists SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA. It charges $0.99 per outcome, so 1,000 resolved conversations cost $990 a month.
Fin comes from the company behind the Intercom helpdesk, and it has the deepest product in this comparison.
Intercom Fin homepage hero section
For a team moving off Wonderchat, Fin's bill grows with every conversation it resolves (about $990 a month at this volume).
G2: Intercom Fin scores 4.5/5 from 3,901 reviews on G2. "What I like best about Fin is how seamlessly it's integrated into the overall Intercom experience... does a strong job handling common, repetitive questions with high-quality, on-brand responses." Stephan W., Head of Support, via G2.
How does Intercom Fin work with your helpdesk?
Fin is built into Intercom, where it answers in the Messenger, email and every other Intercom channel. Fin's homepage says it also works with HubSpot, Freshdesk and other helpdesks, and its help center carries a guide to running Fin on Zendesk.
The Best Helpdesk AI Agents of 2026 (Intercom Fin vs Zendesk AI vs HubSpot Breeze vs Gorgias AI)
On a helpdesk other than Intercom, Fin covers a narrower set of channels (email and chat on HubSpot, for example).
How easy is it to set up Intercom Fin?
On Intercom, Fin reads your help center and starts answering once you switch it on. On another helpdesk, you add Fin's chat window to your site and connect your knowledge, which Intercom puts at under an hour.
If your help center is patchy, expect a few rounds of writing and testing before Fin performs.
What knowledge sources can I train Intercom Fin on?
Fin answers from help center articles, internal articles, snippets, synced public websites and PDFs, much the same core list as ours. It also syncs content from Zendesk, Freshdesk, Notion, Confluence, Guru, Box and Document360.
Past conversations reach the customer-facing agent as suggested snippets, which an admin reviews first. The source lists on Fin's help pages don't include Google Drive, SharePoint or OneDrive.
What features does Intercom Fin have?
Fin has the widest set of features here:
Procedures - multi-step jobs written in plain language, which can call your systems along the way.
Channels - Messenger, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, SMS and Slack on the Intercom helpdesk.
Ecommerce - order lookups and product answers from a Shopify catalog.
Escalation rules - send a whole topic, such as pricing questions, straight to your team.
Those channels come with the Intercom helpdesk. We answer on WhatsApp, SMS and whatever other channels your connected helpdesk routes to us.
How does Intercom Fin improve over time?
Before a change goes live, you can batch-test Fin on a set of questions and simulate whole conversations against its Procedures. That testing is the strongest in the set. Reports separate its resolution rate from its escalation rate, so you can see where it hands over most.
Suggested snippets let an admin turn good agent answers into Fin knowledge, much as our Self-Learning does. Intercom sells its deeper tools for analyzing and improving Fin separately, as a Pro add-on on top of the per-outcome price.
How secure is Intercom Fin?
Intercom's trust center lists SOC 2, ISO 27001:2022 and HIPAA among its frameworks. That is the longest list in this comparison, against our SOC 2 Type II and GDPR.
How mature is Intercom Fin?
Fin is built on one of the best-known helpdesks, with thousands of customers behind it. Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin in September 2026, so a buyer gets a large vendor whose roadmap now sits with a new owner.
How much does Intercom Fin cost?
Fin's pricing page lists $0.99 per outcome, with a 50-outcome monthly minimum when Fin runs on another helpdesk. Intercom charges one outcome per conversation, even when Fin takes several actions in it.
On the Intercom helpdesk, seats are billed on top, which our cost table leaves out because you pay for seats with any AI. At 1,000 resolved conversations a month, that's $990 for the AI alone, and the figure rises as Fin resolves more.
Who is using Intercom Fin?
Fin publishes customer stories from Anthropic and MPB, among many others.
✅
Choose Intercom Fin if:
You want the widest feature set from a single AI agent.
Your security review asks for ISO 27001 or HIPAA from the AI vendor.
You're comfortable with a bill that rises with every resolved conversation.
❌
Don't choose Intercom Fin if:
You need a predictable monthly bill at a few thousand conversations.
Your AI budget is closer to $150 a month than $1,000.
Much of your knowledge lives in Google Drive, SharePoint or OneDrive.
TL;DR: Chatbase is the closest like-for-like swap for Wonderchat: a no-code AI agent you train on your site and files, live within minutes. Its $150 Standard plan comes with 4,000 message credits and files tickets into Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, HubSpot and Gorgias. Extra credits come through auto-recharge.
Chatbase is the tool that looks most like Wonderchat. You point it at your website, it builds an agent, and you paste a widget onto your pages.
Chatbase homepage hero section, with a Procedures panel where order return and refund, order status lookup and upgrade plan are switched on and cancel subscription and product exchange are switched off.
It pulls ahead on the helpdesk module in its Standard plan and a wider set of actions. If you like Wonderchat's way of working and want more for the money, I'd start with Chatbase.
G2: Chatbase scores 4.9/5 from 33 reviews on G2. "I just had to put the link of my website into Chatbase and it took care of scanning it completely... it answers me in the ChatGPT style." Ederson V., Web Designer, via G2.
How does Chatbase work with your helpdesk?
Chatbase has its own helpdesk module on Standard, with ticket views, assignment and conversation takeover. When the AI escalates, it can create a ticket in that module or in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Gorgias and others.
In Zendesk, the AI can also reply to tickets directly or draft a reply for your team to review. When a website chat escalates to another helpdesk, the AI's side of the conversation stays in Chatbase's widget, so your team reads conversations in two places; with us, the AI's replies and the handover are on the same ticket.
How easy is it to set up Chatbase?
Point it at your website or upload files, and it's answering within minutes.
Choosing a model, writing instructions and adding Q&A pairs for tricky questions take a little longer. I've assumed AI drafts those instructions, which gets most teams finished in an hour.
What knowledge sources can I train Chatbase on?
Chatbase's sources include files, your website, text snippets, Q&A pairs and Notion. Pro adds tickets as a source, at $500 a month.
On Standard and Pro, external sources re-sync every seven days, so a change to your help pages can take up to a week to show up in answers, while edits you make inside Chatbase reach answers within seconds. The $150 Standard plan I've priced it on doesn't include ticket training.
What features does Chatbase have?
Its support features include:
AI Actions - look up or change things in Stripe, Shopify, Zendesk and Calendly, or call your systems.
Helpdesk module - ticket views, assignment and takeover for the conversations the AI escalates.
Channels - the website widget, WhatsApp, Slack and phone calls.
Model choice - pick from dozens of AI models, with an Auto option that uses one credit per reply.
Fin still covers more channels and procedures.
How does Chatbase improve over time?
When you correct an answer, Revise turns your fix into a Q&A source the agent uses from then on. Analytics groups chats by topic and sentiment on paid plans, and shows a resolution rate for conversations the agent closed without escalating.
Improvement is hands-on: you read the logs and fix what you find. Our Self-Learning drafts the fix from your agent's reply for you to approve.
How secure is Chatbase?
Chatbase's security page states GDPR and SOC 2 Type II compliance. If your security team also asks for ISO 27001, Fin and Zendesk list it.
How mature is Chatbase?
Chatbase publishes named customer stories, including an online marketplace and a battery retailer. The two helpdesk vendors have the longer history and the bigger enterprise customer lists.
How much does Chatbase cost?
Chatbase's pricing page lists Hobby at $40 (700 credits), Standard at $150 (4,000 credits) and Pro at $500 (15,000 credits) a month. The Auto model uses one credit per reply, so 2,000 conversations at two replies each fill Standard's 4,000 credits exactly, for $150.
A reply costs one to six credits depending on the model you pick, so a stronger model would push the same volume past Standard. Auto-recharge adds $40 per 1,000 credits, and if credits run out with auto-recharge off, the agent stops answering. SiteGPT comes in $32 cheaper at this volume.
Is Zendesk AI agents a good Wonderchat alternative?
⚡
TL;DR: Zendesk AI agents answer inside Zendesk on channels including messaging and email, and are included in every Suite and Support plan. Zendesk lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification. Beyond the resolutions included per agent, each automated resolution costs $1.50 on a commitment, so about $1,478 a month here for the AI alone.
Zendesk AI agents are the AI built into the Zendesk helpdesk. If you already run Zendesk, it's the option you don't have to install; if you don't, it means buying Zendesk first.
Zendesk AI agents page hero section
Wonderchat itself connects to Zendesk, so a Zendesk team may be weighing the two directly.
How does Zendesk AI agents work with your helpdesk?
The AI agent answers inside Zendesk, on messaging, email and web forms, and hands over within the same ticket. Our Zendesk app answers in the same place.
It works only inside Zendesk, though, so a team on any other helpdesk would have to move to use it.
How easy is it to set up Zendesk AI agents?
Zendesk's AI agents page describes generative replies going live within minutes of pointing the agent at your help center. You'll need a Suite plan for chat, since the messaging widget comes with Suite, and I've priced the AI on Suite Team.
The longer work is building escalation use cases, scripted conversations and procedures for the topics that need them.
What knowledge sources can I train Zendesk AI agents on?
The agent answers from your Zendesk help center, searched live, and from up to 50 external sources synced about every 24 hours. Restricted articles are used only for customers allowed to see them.
Those external sources are websites, while Chatbase, Fin and our agent also take files and connected tools.
What features does Zendesk AI agents have?
Procedures let the agent run multi-step jobs, and actions call your systems. Voice AI agents are available too, if you run Zendesk's voice channel.
Zendesk sells an agent-side Copilot separately, so I haven't counted it in the score.
How does Zendesk AI agents improve over time?
The AI agent reporting dashboard shows resolutions and escalations. Instructions you add take effect straight away. Zendesk says it also checks every conversation for quality and flags gaps in your knowledge and procedures that are failing, so your team can see what to fix next.
How secure is Zendesk AI agents?
Zendesk's trust center lists SOC 2 Type II and states that Zendesk is ISO 27001:2022 certified. Alongside Fin, that is the strongest paperwork here, with ISO 27001 on top of the SOC 2 Type II we also hold.
How mature is Zendesk AI agents?
Zendesk is one of the longest-running helpdesks, with a large enterprise customer base. Its AI agents run for brands like Liberty London and Lush.
For the cost I've used three agents, which gives you 15 included, so 1,000 resolutions leaves 985 × $1.50 = $1,477.50 a month. Pay-as-you-go would be $1,970. Seats are on top, but you pay for those with any AI. Zendesk's help center also describes newer resolution tiers that work from a resolution allowance, so an account on those tiers may be billed differently.
Who is using Zendesk AI agents?
Liberty London sees Zendesk AI as central to personal service, and Lush runs the AI agent on email.
✅
Choose Zendesk AI agents if:
You want your helpdesk and your AI agent from one company.
Your security team wants ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II from a long-established vendor.
You're ready to build procedures and use cases for your trickier topics.
❌
Don't choose Zendesk AI agents if:
Your team works in another helpdesk and doesn't plan to move.
Your budget for AI at 2,000 conversations is well under $1,000 a month.
You want a website widget running today without buying a helpdesk.
TL;DR: SiteGPT is a website chatbot you train on links, files and connected drives, with the lowest bill here: $118 a month at 2,000 conversations. Paid bots keep answering past the plan cap. Its Zendesk AI agent needs the $429 Scale plan, and a HIPAA agreement needs Enterprise.
SiteGPT is the budget pick in this set, and like Wonderchat it's a website chatbot. Its bill is also one of the easiest here to forecast.
SiteGPT homepage hero section, with checkmarks for 95+ languages supported and a 7-day free trial above a row of customer logos.
I like how it handles the plan cap. On a paid plan the bot keeps answering after the monthly allowance runs out, while the dashboard asks you to add a 5,000-message pack, which renews each month.
How does SiteGPT work with your helpdesk?
Conversations move between AI mode and human mode inside SiteGPT's own dashboard. When a visitor asks for a person, your team replies from Chat History and the AI stops answering.
SiteGPT's AI agent that answers inside Zendesk needs the Scale plan or above. On the Starter plan I've priced in the cost table, the AI and the handover both stay in SiteGPT's inbox.
How easy is it to set up SiteGPT?
Add links or a sitemap, let it read them, and embed the widget on as many sites as you like. It's a short afternoon's work, and quicker if AI drafts your instructions.
What knowledge sources can I train SiteGPT on?
SiteGPT reads websites, sitemaps, YouTube videos and text snippets, and connects to Notion, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and GitHub. Custom responses let you fix the exact answer to a specific question.
Our custom answers do the same job and return your exact wording, so regulated or scripted replies go out as you wrote them.
What features does SiteGPT have?
Starter covers the chatbot itself, with basic analytics and one team member. API access and integrations start on Growth, and Conversation Insights comes with Scale and above.
How does SiteGPT improve over time?
On Starter, improvement means reading Chat History and updating your content yourself, since Conversation Insights starts on the $429 Scale plan.
How secure is SiteGPT?
SiteGPT's security page says it has completed a SOC 2 Type II examination, is GDPR certified and is HIPAA assessed. That's the same SOC 2 Type II we hold, and a HIPAA agreement is available on Enterprise only.
How mature is SiteGPT?
SiteGPT publishes three customer case studies focused on business outcomes, which is lighter proof than the helpdesk vendors offer (and why it scores 5 here).
How much does SiteGPT cost?
SiteGPT's pricing page lists Starter at $59 a month billed monthly for up to 4,000 messages, Growth at $129 and Scale at $429. Picking the stronger model uses ten times the allowance per message, so I've used the default model here.
SiteGPT counts both sides of a conversation, so 2,000 conversations with two AI replies each is 8,000 messages. Starter plus one extra 5,000-message pack at $59 comes to $118, which is cheaper than Growth and the lowest bill in this comparison.
Who is using SiteGPT?
CBS Bahamas, a home-improvement retailer, runs SiteGPT on its website.
✅
Choose SiteGPT if:
You want the lowest monthly bill for a website chatbot.
You want the bot to keep answering when a busy month goes past the allowance.
You want SOC 2 Type II from a budget tool.
❌
Don't choose SiteGPT if:
You want the AI to answer inside Zendesk without paying for Scale.
You need to train on past tickets.
You need a HIPAA agreement below the Enterprise plan.
TL;DR: Tidio is a live chat platform with its Lyro AI agent built in, strong on Shopify product recommendations. Tidio lists SOC 2 Type II and GDPR. Self-serve Lyro plans stop at 1,000 conversations a month, so 2,000 needs a sales quote on Plus, which starts at $300 a month plus usage.
Tidio is a different kind of swap. You get a whole live chat inbox for your team, with Lyro answering first and handing over when it should.
Tidio (Lyro) homepage hero section
For an online store that wants chat, AI and product recommendations from one vendor, that's appealing, though it's a bigger change than swapping one widget for another. We went the other way with My AskAI, where the AI joins the helpdesk you already have.
G2: Tidio scores 4.6/5 from 1,962 reviews on G2, a rating for the whole platform with Lyro included.
How does Tidio (Lyro) work with your helpdesk?
Tidio is its own inbox, so Lyro hands over to your team inside Tidio. When nobody is online, Lyro can collect an email and create a ticket with the transcript.
Lyro's links to Zendesk and Intercom start on the Plus plan, and 2,000 AI conversations a month already puts you on Plus, so the link comes with the plan you'd be buying.
How easy is it to set up Tidio (Lyro)?
Inside Tidio, setup is quick: add your website, some Q&A and your products, then switch Lyro on. For a team settled in another helpdesk, I think the bigger job is moving everyone into Tidio's inbox.
What knowledge sources can I train Tidio (Lyro) on?
Lyro learns from your website, entries you add by hand, uploaded CSV files and Zendesk help articles, and syncs your product catalog. That covers a store's everyday questions.
For a store, our Shopify connector reads your products and looks up orders and customers.
What features does Tidio (Lyro) have?
Lyro's standout is ecommerce:
Product recommendations - Lyro suggests products from your Shopify store right in the chat.
Add to cart - customers add a recommended product from the chat on Shopify and WooCommerce.
Shopify actions - order lookups, returns and refunds through Tidio's actions.
Tidio's Action templates, including one for Shopify order status, come with the Plus and Premium plans and some Lyro AI Agent subscriptions. Outside ecommerce, the set is narrower than Fin's or ours.
How does Tidio (Lyro) improve over time?
Lyro keeps a list of questions it couldn't answer, and its analytics show how each piece of knowledge performs. Closing the gaps is up to your team, working down that list and adding answers by hand.
How secure is Tidio (Lyro)?
Tidio's trust center lists SOC 2 Type II, and Tidio's GDPR guide states compliance and explains how to delete a customer's chat and contact data on request.
How mature is Tidio (Lyro)?
Tidio is a long-running chat platform, and Lyro has published results with named stores.
How much does Tidio (Lyro) cost?
Tidio's pricing page lists Starter at $29 a month, Growth from $59, and Plus from $300 a month plus usage. Lyro is priced separately in conversation packs, from $39 for 50 conversations up to 1,000 a month on the self-serve plans.
At 2,000 Lyro conversations you're past that ceiling, so the price comes from a sales conversation on Plus (Premium starts at 3,000 Lyro conversations). There's no published figure to put in our cost table, and the cost score of 4 reflects a bill you can't see up front.
Who is using Tidio (Lyro)?
Burker reports an 80% Lyro resolution rate across 10,000 conversations a month, and about half its email traffic gone.
✅
Choose Tidio (Lyro) if:
You want a live chat inbox and an AI agent from one vendor.
You run a Shopify store and want product recommendations in chat.
Your volume sits under 1,000 AI conversations a month for now.
❌
Don't choose Tidio (Lyro) if:
Your team is settled in another helpdesk and wants to stay there.
You want a published price at 2,000 AI conversations a month.
You need the AI to learn from cloud drives or past tickets.
TL;DR: Botsonic is a no-code website chatbot from Writesonic that you train on files, links and connected drives. It can file tickets in Zendesk and Freshdesk, and hand chats to live Zendesk agents with a $199 add-on. At this volume that comes to $273 a month.
Botsonic follows the same idea as Wonderchat: build a chatbot from your documents and put it on your site. It promises a custom chatbot in minutes, and its setup steps bear that out.
Botsonic homepage hero section
Live handover to Zendesk agents is sold as an add-on that makes up most of the bill at this volume.
G2: Botsonic scores 4.6/5 from 107 reviews on G2. "I could upload my own data (like product FAQs and sales info) and train the bot in a way that actually made sense for my customers. It wasn't just answering generic questions; it was giving intelligent, brand-aligned responses based on real data." Kim I., E-Commerce Manager, via G2.
Upload files, add links or a sitemap, then add the widget to your site. The getting-started guide walks through it in a few steps.
What knowledge sources can I train Botsonic on?
Botsonic reads PDF, Word and text files, URLs, sitemaps and FAQs, and connects to Notion, Google Drive, Confluence and SharePoint. We read the same four, so a team whose docs are in Confluence or SharePoint can keep writing there with either tool.
What features does Botsonic have?
Every plan includes what Botsonic calls Agentic Actions, 3 on Starter and 5 on Professional. Starter also has lead capture forms, and a choice of AI models starts on Professional. Workflows start on the $299 Advanced plan, so the Professional plan in the cost table doesn't include them.
How does Botsonic improve over time?
Botsonic's pricing page lists analytics for sentiment, popular topics and unanswered queries, with a one-click way to add a missing answer, on the Enterprise plan.
Automatic re-syncing of your knowledge is on the Advanced and Enterprise plans only, so on Professional a change to your docs reaches the bot when you re-sync it yourself. We re-sync most sources every 24 hours.
How secure is Botsonic?
Botsonic's homepage states SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR compliance, and Writesonic, the company behind it, publishes its security practices in a trust center.
How mature is Botsonic?
Botsonic is a product of Writesonic, Inc., a larger AI software company. It doesn't publish named customer stories.
How much does Botsonic cost?
Botsonic's pricing page lists Starter at $19, Professional at $49 and Advanced at $299 a month, billed monthly. Picking a stronger AI model uses more of your allowance per reply.
For this volume I've used Professional ($49) with one 2,000-message pack ($25), plus the $199 handoff add-on the helpdesk score relies on. That's $273 a month, a little under our $319.
Who is using Botsonic?
Botsonic positions itself around small businesses that want a website chatbot built from their documents, and publishes no named customer stories.
✅
Choose Botsonic if:
You want a website chatbot built from your documents in an afternoon.
Your knowledge lives in Notion, Google Drive, Confluence or SharePoint.
You don't need live handover to a helpdesk.
❌
Don't choose Botsonic if:
You want the AI to answer inside your helpdesk.
You want workflows without paying for the Advanced plan.
What do these Wonderchat alternatives actually cost at 2,000 conversations a month?
⚡
TL;DR: SiteGPT is the cheapest at $118 a month, with Wonderchat at $149 and Chatbase at $150. Botsonic comes to $273 with its handoff add-on, My AskAI to $319, and the helpdesk AI agents to $990 and about $1,478. Per-outcome bills rise as the AI resolves more.
I've put every row on the same basis: 2,000 conversations a month, three agents, two AI replies per conversation for tools priced by message or credit, and 1,000 resolutions for tools priced per outcome. Each tool is on its cheapest monthly plan that covers the volume and whatever its scores rely on.

Wonderchat's own pricing page estimates around ten credits per conversation, which would take the same volume past Basic's 5,000 credits and onto the $499 Scale tier. Stronger models cost more credits on every credit-priced tool here, so the Wonderchat, Chatbase and SiteGPT rows hold only on their cheapest models.
Fin charges per outcome, with each resolution counting as one, and Zendesk AI agents charge per automated resolution. Both bills rise as the AI gets better and come on top of a helpdesk you already pay for. The message, credit and per-ticket tools, ours among them, stay tied to how much your customers write in.

Which Wonderchat alternative is best?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI leads the scoreboard at 68/80 for teams that answer customers inside a helpdesk. Intercom Fin is two points behind at 66/80 and is the pick for the widest feature set, while SiteGPT and Chatbase win on price for a website widget.
Only two points separate My AskAI and Fin, so pick by the kind of team you run:
My AskAI - for a team that answers in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Freshchat, Gorgias or HubSpot and wants the AI inside that inbox, trained on historic tickets, at a per-ticket price. Start with our integration for your helpdesk and the 30-day free trial.
Intercom Fin - for a team that wants the widest feature set and the longest certification list, and accepts a per-outcome bill.
Chatbase - for the closest swap for Wonderchat, with more actions and a helpdesk module, at $150 a month.
Zendesk AI agents - for a team that wants its helpdesk and AI from one established vendor.
SiteGPT - for the lowest bill for a website chatbot.
Tidio (Lyro) - for a store that wants a live chat inbox and product recommendations from one vendor.
Botsonic - for a website chatbot built quickly from your documents and drives.
If your customers' tickets already land in your helpdesk, put the AI there. We built My AskAI for that setup. When a website widget is all you need, SiteGPT or Chatbase will do it for less.
Three groups of Wonderchat alternatives by setup: tickets land in a helpdesk (My AskAI, Intercom Fin, Zendesk AI agents), a website widget is enough (SiteGPT, Chatbase, Botsonic), and live chat and AI together (Tidio (Lyro)).
FAQs
Is there a cheaper alternative to Wonderchat for customer support?
Yes. At 2,000 conversations a month with two AI replies each (the basis of our cost table), SiteGPT costs $118 and Chatbase $150, against $149 for Wonderchat's Basic plan on the same basis. Wonderchat's pricing page estimates around ten credits per conversation, which would move that volume past Basic's 5,000 credits to its $499 Scale tier, and at that point both are cheaper.
Is Wonderchat good for customer service automation?
It's a capable website agent for answering common questions from your content, billed in message credits. On its Scale plan it can create Zendesk tickets on a trigger and train on your past Zendesk or Freshdesk tickets. Its pricing FAQ says the chatbot stops responding at the credit limit until you buy more credits or upgrade your plan, so watch your allowance in busy months.
Is Wonderchat good for e-commerce support?
Wonderchat lists Shopify among its integrations, and it handles product and policy questions from the content you give it. If product recommendations matter most, Tidio's Lyro offers Shopify product recommendations and add-to-cart in the chat. If your store's tickets run through a helpdesk like Gorgias or Zendesk, we answer there and look up Shopify orders and products directly.
Wonderchat vs Intercom: which is better?
Wonderchat has a free plan, then paid credit plans from $149 a month billed monthly, while Intercom Fin charges $0.99 per outcome and answers inside Intercom and other helpdesks. Wonderchat's integrations catalog doesn't list Intercom, so an Intercom team would run the two side by side. Our Intercom Fin review above has the full scores.
Wonderchat vs Zendesk for customer service: which should I pick?
Zendesk is a helpdesk with AI agents built in, charging $1.50 per automated resolution on a commitment after a small included allowance. Wonderchat is a website agent that can create Zendesk tickets and train on your Zendesk help center and past tickets on its Scale plan. If your team works in Zendesk, decide whether you want the AI answering inside it, and our Zendesk AI agents review above covers that.
What's the difference between AI chatbots and AI agents for customer support?
An AI chatbot answers questions from your content, usually in a website widget. An AI agent does that and can also act, such as looking up an order, processing a refund or tagging a ticket, and often works inside your helpdesk. Most tools in this comparison fall somewhere between the two, and our guide to what an AI chatbot is covers the basics.
How much does AI customer support software cost?
At 2,000 conversations a month, the tools here range from $118 (SiteGPT) to about $1,478 for Zendesk AI agents' AI charges alone. The big split is how each tool charges: tools that charge per outcome or per resolution, like Fin and Zendesk AI agents, cost more as the AI improves, while per-message, per-credit and per-ticket tools track your volume. Always check which model a price assumes, since a stronger model can multiply a credit-priced bill.
