Tidio and My AskAI are both AI support agents that ground their answers in your own knowledge, but they answer a different question. Tidio (with its Lyro AI agent) bundles live chat, inbox and AI into one SMB support platform you run everything inside, so adopting it means moving your support onto Tidio; My AskAI is an AI agent that plugs into whatever helpdesk you're on today and resolves tickets there. Pick Tidio if you're a small Shopify store that wants one tool doing chat, inbox and AI; pick My AskAI if you already run a real helpdesk and want flat per-ticket pricing, broader knowledge training, and no lock-in.
Tidio starts at $0 but meters three separate billing pools and caps free Lyro at 50 lifetime chats. My AskAI is a flat $0.10 per ticket inside the helpdesk you're already running. Both ground their answers in your own knowledge, so the real decision is whether you replace your support platform or layer AI onto it.
I'm Mike, one of the co-founders of My AskAI, so I have skin in this game. I've tried to keep the scoring straight below (Tidio wins three categories outright and ties two more), because a fake clean sweep helps nobody who's trying to choose.

What AI can I use to reply to customer support, My AskAI or Tidio?

TL;DR: Tidio Lyro is a Claude-powered AI agent baked into Tidio's own all-in-one SMB helpdesk; My AskAI is a multi-model AI agent that drops into the helpdesk you already run (Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Freshdesk, Gorgias). The first replaces your support stack, the second layers onto it.
Tidio's Lyro is an AI customer service agent built primarily for small and mid-size ecommerce (Tidio markets it as the "#1 AI agent for SMBs" and points to 300,000+ businesses across all its products). The important detail is where Lyro lives: it sits inside Tidio's own platform, which bundles live chat, a shared inbox, ticketing and a Flows automation builder. Tidio sells three separately-purchasable products (the Lyro AI agent, Customer Service, and Flows), and you run your support inside all of it.

My AskAI is the opposite bet. It's an AI agent that installs into the helpdesk you already use and answers tickets there. If you're running Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Freshdesk or Gorgias today, My AskAI answers inside those tickets and that chat, and you keep everything else exactly as it is.
This is the fork everything else hangs on, and it's easy to skip. "Switch to an all-in-one platform" and "add AI to the stack I already run" get treated as the same decision, and they aren't.

The Best Helpdesk AI Agents of 2026 (Intercom Fin vs Zendesk AI vs HubSpot Breeze vs Gorgias AI)
Adopting Tidio means migrating your support into Tidio first, with the AI downstream of a platform move. Choosing My AskAI means keeping your helpdesk and layering the AI on top in an afternoon. So we win in one specific place: a team with a real helpdesk and real volume shouldn't have to re-platform just to get a great AI agent.

Tidio's review base is far bigger (about 90% of its reviewers are small-business users, which fits the SMB story), and Lyro doesn't have a separate G2 page yet, so those are the whole-platform scores. For context on our side, My AskAI is used by 200+ ecommerce and SaaS businesses, and our agents have now resolved over 1,000,000 tickets.

How does an AI customer service agent work, My AskAI vs Tidio?

TL;DR: Both ground their answers in your knowledge and reply in chat and email. The difference is where they live: Lyro answers in Tidio's own widget and inbox (plus Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp), while My AskAI answers inside your existing helpdesk's tickets and chat.
Underneath, the two work the same way. You point the agent at your knowledge (help center, website, docs), it retrieves the relevant material for each incoming question, and it writes a grounded reply rather than a canned decision-tree response.
Lyro runs on Anthropic's Claude plus Tidio's own in-house models, with a router that falls back to Google's Vertex AI. My AskAI is multi-model too (predominantly OpenAI, with Anthropic and Google models used where they win on a given task), continually A/B tested.
Where they diverge is the surface the customer hits. Lyro replies across five channels that Tidio owns end to end: the Tidio web chat widget, email and tickets, Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, all toggled inside Configure. That native, built-in social inbox is a real Tidio strength.
My AskAI answers wherever your helpdesk routes conversations. That's the helpdesk's own chat and ticket channels, and it includes social messages when your helpdesk brings them in as conversations (Gorgias and Zendesk both do this, and there's a per-channel toggle for Gorgias social). So the model of the world is different: Tidio is the platform your customers reach, My AskAI is the AI inside the platform you already gave them.
A two-by-two positioning map: My AskAI sits top-left (plugs into your helpdesk, for a team on a real helpdesk at volume); Tidio sits bottom-right (replaces your helpdesk, for a small Shopify store).
A two-by-two positioning map: My AskAI sits top-left (plugs into your helpdesk, for a team on a real helpdesk at volume); Tidio sits bottom-right (replaces your helpdesk, for a small Shopify store).

What are the different ways I can use an AI agent, direct, copilot, or internal notes?

TL;DR: Both do direct customer replies and a copilot mode that drafts suggestions for your agents. My AskAI adds an Internal-Notes mode that writes every reply as a private note, so you can run it silently alongside your current setup. Neither product does voice.

Direct replies

The headline mode for both is the same: the AI replies directly to the customer. Lyro answers in Tidio's widget and channels; My AskAI answers inside your helpdesk's tickets and chat. This is the mode that deflects real volume, and where the two are most alike.

Copilot replies

Both also offer a behind-the-scenes copilot for your human agents. Tidio's Copilot is a free Chrome extension (GPT-4 powered) that suggests replies inside other helpdesks, with an "Advanced Copilot" reserved for its Premium tier. My AskAI has a free AI Copilot Chrome extension too, working inside any of our integrated helpdesks, with no per-seat charge and included on every plan.

Internal note replies

This one is My AskAI-only, and the safest way in for anyone nervous about going live. In Internal-Notes mode, the AI drafts a full reply on every ticket but posts it as a private internal note that the customer never sees.
A screenshot of the My AskAI agent within Intercom replying in notes mode to a user question.
A screenshot of the My AskAI agent within Intercom replying in notes mode to a user question.
You run My AskAI silently, side by side with whatever you're using now, and compare the drafted answers against what your team sends. It's the zero-risk way to prove quality before a single customer-facing message goes out, and Tidio has no direct equivalent.
Neither product does voice or phone support, so if that's on your must-have list today, it's a wash (and a no from both).

Which is easier to setup, Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: Both are roughly 10-minute, no-code installs. Tidio is faster if you have no helpdesk at all, because it is the helpdesk; My AskAI adds a step (connect your existing helpdesk plus your knowledge), but you never re-platform your support.
Tidio's Lyro setup is quick and well documented: a four-step, no-code flow (add your data, test in the Playground with a "Test Lyro" button, set your handoff and channels, then go live), with 50 free Lyro conversations to trial it. You install via the Shopify app, a WordPress plugin, or a single JavaScript snippet. The one caveat is that Lyro's Smart Actions (the order-status-style lookups) are, in Tidio's own words, meant for advanced users or developers, and real time-to-value depends on how tidy your knowledge is (Tidio's own Secureframe case involved around two weeks of knowledge curation before it delivered).
My AskAI is a similar ~10-minute, no-code install: sign up, connect your knowledge (help centers, websites, Shopify), and install our app from your helpdesk's marketplace. From clean knowledge you're live within minutes to hours, and almost every customer reaches "live and replying to customers" within about a month. Anything involving your own APIs and Tasks is gated by your dev team's availability rather than a product delay, and ongoing upkeep is roughly 30 minutes a week.
With no helpdesk at all, Tidio is simpler: standing it up stands up your entire support operation in one go. But once you already run a helpdesk, My AskAI's extra step (connecting it) is trivial next to the alternative, which is migrating your whole support setup onto a new platform just to get an AI agent.

How do My AskAI and Tidio differ in what they can be trained on?

TL;DR: My AskAI wins here. It ingests Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Salesforce, Shopify, past tickets and PDFs; Tidio caps its crawl at 60 pages, gates PDFs to its Plus tier, has no Notion/Confluence/Drive, and can't train on your past conversations.
Answer quality is downstream of what the AI is allowed to read, so what each agent can train on is easy to underrate. My AskAI connects to a wide set of knowledge sources: Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Salesforce (for its knowledge pages), Shopify, plus your help center, websites, and direct PDF/DOCX uploads. You can also mark any source internal-only so it powers Copilot and internal answers without ever surfacing to customers.
Tidio is tighter. Its website crawl is capped at 60 pages (with a 500-URL total limit), PDF and DOCX uploads are gated to the Plus tier, and there's no native Notion, Confluence or Google Docs connection.
Like any retrieval-based agent, Lyro can only answer from what's written down: if it isn't in the knowledge base, Lyro can't help. Tidio does auto-extract Q&A "Suggestions" from solved chats, but they're disabled by default and need manual review, and it can't train on your back catalog of past customer conversations the way we can.
That "only as good as your docs" problem is real for any AI agent, and exactly why we built Train on Historic Tickets. If you don't have a polished help center yet, My AskAI can auto-draft starter knowledge from your last resolved tickets (the default backfill is 5,000 tickets, more on request), so a team starting from scratch isn't stuck waiting to write a knowledge base before the AI can do anything useful.

'Dynamic' content

Static docs answer "what's your return policy?"; live lookups answer "where's my order?". For live data, My AskAI uses its User Data API and Tools, plus a pre-built Shopify connector, to read live records and (when you want it to) take actions like refunds, cancellations and order updates.
Those actions are configurable per action: the AI can run them autonomously once you trust it, or draft them for a human to approve first. It's your call.
Tidio's equivalent is Lyro Smart Actions (built on MCP) plus a real-time product-catalog sync. For a Shopify or WooCommerce store, Lyro's native order-status actions and stock-aware product cards are a clean, well-integrated experience out of the box. The trade-off is that Smart Actions lean on developer setup, whereas our Shopify connector is pre-built.

Which has better answer quality, Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: Roughly equivalent on clean tier-1 questions. Both ground their answers in your knowledge, so answer quality tracks how good your knowledge base is far more than the choice of vendor. Call it a tie.
Neither of these is hallucination-proof, and neither has a magic edge on the other. Both agents ground their replies in your knowledge, both use Claude in the mix, and on a clean, well-structured help center both deflect routine questions well. In practice, the single biggest driver of answer quality is how good and how complete your knowledge is.
On the numbers, take headline resolution figures on either side with a grain of salt. Tidio markets a "67% resolution" rate, but that's a deflection-style metric: a conversation counts as successful when there's no follow-up within 15 minutes, a lighter bar than a CSAT-verified outcome.
Independent reviewers put a more realistic range at 40-60% unless your knowledge base is excellent (Tidio's own case studies span 59-94%). For context, the field median across roughly 55 AI vendors and 195 rated deployments sits around 70%, though those figures aren't apples-to-apples (every vendor defines its own metric, and the sample self-selects toward teams willing to publish), so read it as a loose benchmark for where the field sits.
For what it's worth, on our side we count a conversation as resolved when the AI handled it without escalating to a human. We make escalation easy, and we don't claim an issue was "solved" unless the customer confirmed it. It's a modest definition on purpose: an unconfirmed win doesn't count.

Which AI agent is easier to improve over time: Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: My AskAI edges this one. Our Self-Learning drafts new knowledge from your human agents' replies automatically, and you can ask Echo why the agent gave any answer and which source it used. Tidio has a solid knowledge-gap queue and Playground, but no per-response feedback and no learning from past conversations.
An AI agent is only worth as much as its improvement loop, because week one is never the finished product. My AskAI's Self-Learning watches what your human agents reply on handed-over tickets and auto-drafts new knowledge from the difference, so the knowledge base tends toward completeness without someone sitting there maintaining it. For the "how do I trust this?" question, you can ask Echo (our in-dashboard, team-facing assistant) why the agent gave a particular answer and which knowledge source it pulled from, so you can trace any reply back to its origin.
A screenshot of the Improve - Custom Answers section of the My AskAI dashboard, showing how to add a new custom answer.

Tidio's tooling here is respectable. You get a Suggestions / knowledge-gap queue that surfaces unanswered questions with occurrence counts, a Knowledge Score, inline "Review sources" and "Create answer" buttons, and the Playground sandbox for testing.
What it doesn't have (per Tidio's own docs) is per-response thumbs-up/down feedback on individual Lyro replies, a staged rollout path, or any way to learn from your past conversations. Tidio helps you spot gaps; My AskAI helps you spot gaps and closes a lot of them for you automatically.

Which has more features, Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: Tidio wins on breadth for ecommerce (its Flows visual builder, stock-aware Product Recommendations, and native Messenger/Instagram/WhatsApp inbox). My AskAI goes deeper on support operations (agentic Tasks and Tools, 100%-scored Insights, and Tagging). Different centers of gravity.
This is a category I'll hand to Tidio. If you're running a Shopify store, Tidio's feature set is built for you: Flows is a no-code visual builder with 40+ ecommerce templates, its Product Recommendations pull live Shopify/WooCommerce inventory into scrollable product cards with an Add-to-Cart button, and the Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp inbox is native and built in. That's a strong conversion-focused toolkit that we don't try to match card-for-card.
My AskAI's weight sits on the support-operations side instead. Our Tasks and Tools give you agentic, multi-step workflows defined in natural language (no decision trees), Insights groups every conversation into topics and scores 100% of them for AI CSAT (not the usual 2-10% sample), and Tagging auto-classifies tickets natively inside Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk and Freshchat.

The split is clean: Tidio leads on ecommerce-conversion features and native social channels, My AskAI leads on agentic workflows, conversation analytics and multi-brand. Which set matters more depends on whether you're optimizing a storefront or running a support desk at volume.

Is it easy to customize My AskAI and Tidio?

TL;DR: Close, with a slight My AskAI edge. Both give you strong control over tone, handoff and behavior; the difference is that Tidio gates the number of guidance rules you can set by pricing tier, while ours are ungated.
Both products let you control how the agent behaves without touching code. My AskAI's Guidance comes in three flavors (Communication & Style, Context & Clarification, and Handover & Escalation), on top of prompt and persona control, and none of it is capped by plan. You write natural-language rules ("always confirm the order number before issuing a refund", "escalate anything mentioning chargebacks") and the agent follows them.
Tidio's Lyro Guidance is conceptually similar and nicely done: you set a communication style (neutral, friendly, formal or custom), handoff and escalation rules, custom directions, and even audience-targeted behavior. The catch is the count.
The number of guidance rules is gated by tier (5 on the lower plans, up to 10 on Plus, 10+ on Premium), so as your edge cases grow you can bump into a wall that's really a pricing prompt. That's the whole difference here: comparable controls, but ours don't meter how many you're allowed.

What about vendor lock-in?

TL;DR: This is the biggest structural difference between the two. Tidio's AI lives inside Tidio, so leaving means re-platforming your whole support tool. My AskAI runs across Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot, and the trained agent comes with you if you ever switch helpdesk.
Because Lyro is part of Tidio's platform, your AI agent and your helpdesk are the same purchase. That's convenient going in, but it means the exit cost is high: if you outgrow Tidio or want to move to a different support tool, you're migrating your entire support operation and rebuilding the agent from scratch on whatever comes next.
My AskAI is designed to avoid exactly that trap. The same trained agent runs across Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot, and if you change helpdesk down the line, your knowledge, custom answers, guidance and tasks move across with you.
A screenshot of the Channels section of the My AskAI dashboard showing the 5 native integration options of Intercom, Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk and HubSpot.
A screenshot of the Channels section of the My AskAI dashboard showing the 5 native integration options of Intercom, Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk and HubSpot.
You're never re-implementing the AI just because you changed the software around it. For a team that expects to grow or re-evaluate its stack, that portability is worth real money.
Tidio does offer Lyro Connect, which can embed Lyro inside Zendesk, Intercom or Salesforce. But it's gated to the Plus/Premium tiers and billed at around $0.50 per conversation, so it's a paid add-on bridge, well short of the native, built-in model we're describing.

Does Tidio or My AskAI have any other AI features?

TL;DR: Tidio brings ecommerce-conversion extras (Flows automations, product-recommendation cards, an AI Reply Assistant); My AskAI brings support-ops extras (auto-Tagging with per-tag reply control, Live Translation, and conversation Insights). Both auto-tag; neither does voice.
Beyond the core agent, each side has a cluster of secondary AI features, and they lean in the same directions as the main feature set. Tidio's extras are conversion-flavored: Flows automations, the stock-aware product-recommendation cards, and an AI Reply Assistant that polishes human agents' replies with GPT-4. For a store optimizing for revenue, that's a coherent bundle, and it's another clear edge for Tidio in this category.

Tagging

My AskAI's Tagging auto-classifies each ticket across up to 3 attributes, working from your existing helpdesk tags (each tag is expanded into a full definition you can review and edit, and classification is semantic, so a ticket phrased differently still lands in the right tag). It runs natively inside Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk and Freshchat. It also gives you per-tag reply control: each tag can be set to (a) let the AI reply directly, (b) have the AI draft an internal note for a human, or (c) block the AI from replying at all.
Because tagging is billed separately at $0.05 per attribute, you can tag a class of tickets you don't want the AI to answer and pay only the tag cost while routing them to a person, so it doubles as a spend-control lever. Tidio's tagging is intent/analytics-oriented: it feeds its dashboards but doesn't drive per-tag reply routing.

Agent translation

On languages, My AskAI supports 95 languages auto-detected per message, plus a Live Translation feature (in Intercom) that translates a conversation into the agent's language as an internal note and translates the reply back when sending, which solves the "I can't read what my customer wrote" problem on handover. Tidio supports 48 languages with native-language processing and per-language guidance. Both are more than enough for most teams; we just cover a wider spread and add the agent-side translation layer.

What about security, is Tidio more secure than My AskAI?

TL;DR: Close, but Tidio's compliance grid is broader. Both are SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant; Tidio additionally lists EU-US DPF, the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and EEA data residency, and neither product holds HIPAA or ISO 27001. Both cover what most B2B SaaS and ecommerce teams need, with Tidio a step ahead on documented certifications.
If your security reviewer is going to ask (and they should), both products clear the bar most SMB and mid-market teams actually need. My AskAI is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant, with AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, isolated containers per customer, and a firm no-training policy on your data. Tidio is SOC 2 Type II too (certified 14 October 2025 via A-LIGN) and GDPR compliant, and it additionally lists CCPA/CPRA, EU-US DPF, EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF alignment, with EEA data residency (though no customer-selectable US/EU option), and SSO gated to its Plus/Premium tiers.
The one comparative gap that runs both ways: neither product holds HIPAA or ISO 27001 today. If you're in a regulated space that hard-requires either of those, both of us are off the table, and you'd want to look elsewhere. For everyone else, both clear the bar, and Tidio's longer list of documented frameworks gives it the edge if your reviewer is counting certifications.

Which costs more, Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: Tidio's floor is cheaper for a tiny store ($0 free, or $32.50 to add Lyro), but three separately-metered pools, a 50-lifetime free cap, and a $749 Plus wall make the bill jump with scale. My AskAI is flat per-ticket ($0.10 a credit, on $199 and $499 plans) and stays predictable as volume and resolution rise.

The pricing model

The two pricing models are shaped completely differently, and that's where most of the surprise lives.
Tidio meters three separate billing pools, each on its own slider: Customer Service (live chat and helpdesk), the Lyro AI Agent, and Flows. The Lyro pool starts at $32.50/month (annual) for 50 conversations, scaling by slider up to 1,000.
A breakdown of Tidio's monthly bill into three separately-metered pools: Customer Service, the Lyro AI Agent, and Flows, each on its own slider, versus My AskAI's single per-ticket credit.
A breakdown of Tidio's monthly bill into three separately-metered pools: Customer Service, the Lyro AI Agent, and Flows, each on its own slider, versus My AskAI's single per-ticket credit.
Tidio markets "$0.50 per conversation", but the entry math is $32.50 ÷ 50 = $0.65 a conversation, with the $0.50 rate only kicking in on bigger packs, so $0.50-0.65 is the real range. A "conversation" is also elastic: it's defined as a thread with at least one AI reply, and after 15 minutes of inactivity a new message starts a new (separately billed) conversation, so one confused customer can chew through several.
Tidio pricing page
Tidio pricing page
The free plan's 50 Lyro conversations are a one-time lifetime allowance, so once they're gone Lyro stops replying. Self-serve plans cap at 10 seats, and the 11th seat pushes you onto the $749/month Plus tier (Premium runs around $2,999 and is sales-gated).
And Tidio auto-upgrades you when you hit 95% of a pool with only an in-app banner (no email), which is the single most common billing complaint about it. Independent write-ups describe the advertised $29 turning into $200+ once you add Lyro, Flows and branding removal, and a "$59 to $749, nothing in between" jump between tiers.
My AskAI is flat per-ticket by comparison. You buy credits ($199 Pro for 1,000 credits, $499 Scale for 2,000, at roughly $0.10-0.12 a credit), and you're billed by the ticket at a flat rate, whether or not the AI resolves it, so your cost per resolved ticket falls as the AI improves.
Add-ons (Tasks, Tools, Tagging, Live Translation) are only billed when you use them. There's a 30-day free trial with every feature unlocked, unlimited tickets and no card required, and new customers can usually get 50% off their first three months. We've had customers switch to us specifically over this model: RecruitCRM rejected Intercom Fin because $0.99 per resolution didn't make economic sense for them, and chose our flat per-ticket pricing instead.

The overall cost

Let's model a realistic SMB ecommerce team at around 2,000 conversations a month.
On My AskAI, 2,000 tickets is the $499/month Scale plan (2,000 credits at $0.10), and it stays there whether your resolution rate is 40% or 90%. One caveat: that $499 is the AI layer sitting on top of the helpdesk seats you're already paying for. My AskAI doesn't replace your helpdesk, so you keep that bill either way.
On Tidio, ~2,000 Lyro conversations is above the 1,000-conversation slider cap, which forces you onto a custom Plus (from $749/month for the platform) or Premium quote. The Lyro pool alone at ~$0.50 a conversation is around $1,000/month, and that's before you add the Customer Service pool and the Flows pool. The important difference is that Tidio's figure is the whole platform you'd run support inside, while My AskAI's $499 is only the AI layer on top.
The comparison isn't quite like-for-like. Below ~1,000 Lyro conversations a month, a micro store's Tidio floor ($0 free, or $32.50 to add Lyro) is cheaper than anything we offer. At ~2,000 and up, the three pools plus the forced Plus tier push Tidio above My AskAI's flat $499, and the gap widens as volume grows.

Conclusion - should I choose Tidio or My AskAI?

TL;DR: For a small Shopify or ecommerce store that wants one all-in-one tool, Tidio is the cleaner pick. For a team already on a real helpdesk that wants predictable cost, broader knowledge training and no lock-in, My AskAI wins.
If you're a small store with no separate helpdesk and a storefront to optimize, I'll happily point you at Tidio. It gives you chat, an inbox, native social channels, Flows and a capable AI agent in one place, at the cheapest possible entry floor. The one condition that flips it is scale plus an existing helpdesk: the moment you're running real volume on Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot, re-platforming onto Tidio to get an AI agent stops making sense.

The card lands where the two products' designs point. Tidio takes Features, Other AI features and Security, on the strength of its ecommerce-conversion tooling, native social channels and a broader compliance grid, and ties on setup and answer quality.
My AskAI takes the categories that reward flexibility over an all-in-one bundle: modes, training breadth, improvement, price, customization and, most decisively, lock-in. If you weight this by "what does a growing support team feel a year in?", the predictable pricing and portability matter more than a one-tool convenience that gets expensive and hard to leave.
Four headline numbers: My AskAI is $0.10 flat per ticket with a 30-day full-feature free trial; Tidio caps free Lyro at 50 lifetime chats and forces its $749 Plus tier at the eleventh seat.

Choose Tidio if:
  • You're a small Shopify or ecommerce store with no separate helpdesk.
  • You want a native Messenger/Instagram/WhatsApp inbox, Flows, and product-recommendation cards out of the box.
  • You're under ~10 agents and around 1,000 Lyro conversations a month.
  • You want the cheapest possible entry floor.
Choose My AskAI if:
  • You already run Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot and don't want to switch.
  • You want flat, predictable per-ticket pricing that holds up at real volume.
  • You need to train on Notion, Confluence, Google Drive or past tickets.
  • You want zero-risk, side-by-side testing via Internal Notes before you go live.
  • You're scaling past the SMB tier.

FAQs

Can My AskAI replace Tidio Lyro?
For the AI job, yes: My AskAI answers off your knowledge, takes actions, and hands off to a human just like Lyro does. The nuance is that My AskAI plugs into a helpdesk without being one, so it fits cleanly if you already run (or will keep) Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot. Tidio bundles the helpdesk too, so a store with no helpdesk at all gets more from Tidio's all-in-one than from a standalone AI agent.
What can each AI agent be trained on?
My AskAI trains on a much wider set of sources. Here's the short version:
Source
My AskAI
Tidio
Help center / website
✅ (60-page cap)
Past tickets
Notion / Confluence / Google Drive
PDF / DOCX
Plus only
Shopify
How long does setup take and do we need developers?
Both have a roughly 10-minute, no-code core setup, so no developers are needed to get the agent live on your knowledge. On Tidio, the Smart Actions (order-status-style lookups) are the part that leans on developer help. On My AskAI, the standard install needs no dev work; only custom API connections and Tasks depend on your own team's availability, and even those are usually quick.
How do My AskAI vs Tidio pricing models differ, and what might we pay?
Tidio meters three separate pools and bills Lyro per conversation, with a 50-conversation lifetime free cap and a $749 Plus wall once you pass 10 seats. My AskAI is flat per-ticket at ~$0.10 with a 30-day free trial. Here's a like-for-like at ~2,000 conversations a month:
My AskAI
Tidio

Flat per-ticket credits
Three metered pools

~$0.10 / ticket
~$0.50–0.65 / Lyro conversation

Custom Plus/Premium; Lyro pool alone ~$1,000 + rest of platform
Free trial
30 days, all features, unlimited tickets, no card
50 Lyro conversations, lifetime
Can they handle multilingual support and agent translation?
Both do multilingual support well. My AskAI covers 95 languages auto-detected per message, and adds Live Translation (in Intercom) so a human agent can read and reply across a language barrier on handover.
Tidio supports 48 languages with native-language processing and per-language guidance. Either is plenty for most teams; My AskAI spans more languages and adds the agent-side translation layer.
How do My AskAI and Tidio compare on security and compliance?
They're closely matched. Both are SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant.
Tidio additionally lists EU-US DPF, EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF alignment plus EEA data residency, while My AskAI adds AES-256 encryption, isolated per-customer containers and a no-training policy on your data. Neither holds HIPAA or ISO 27001, so a hard requirement for either would rule out both.
Will I be locked in to one platform?
With Tidio, effectively yes: because Lyro lives inside Tidio, leaving means re-platforming your whole support tool and rebuilding the agent. With My AskAI, no: the same trained agent runs across Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot, and if you switch helpdesk your knowledge, guidance and tasks come with you, so nothing starts from scratch.
