My AskAI vs LiveChat AI agent: Features, Pricing, and Results (2026)
LiveChat's real AI deflection is a separate product, ChatBot by Text, at $0.99 a resolution on top of per-agent seats. My AskAI is flat $0.10 a ticket.
Mike is an experienced Product Manager who focuses on all the “non-development” areas of My AskAI, from finance and customer success to product design, copywriting, testing and more.
LiveChat is a polished live-chat platform whose AI mostly helps human agents go faster; the part that resolves tickets on its own is a second product, ChatBot by Text, billed at $0.99 a resolution on top of per-agent seats. My AskAI is a dedicated AI agent that runs inside the helpdesk you already have (Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot) at a flat $0.10 a ticket. Pick LiveChat if you want an all-in-one live-chat platform and don't already run a helpdesk; pick My AskAI to add autonomous, portable, predictably-priced AI to the stack you've already got.
LiveChat's agent-assist AI is bundled into your seats, but the chatbot that deflects tickets is a separate subscription billed per resolution. My AskAI charges a flat $0.10 per ticket whether or not the ticket resolves, inside the helpdesk you already run.
I'm Mike, one of the co-founders of My AskAI, so I have a horse in this race. I've spent the last few years on calls with teams weighing exactly this decision. I've tried to keep the scoring below fair (LiveChat wins the features category outright and ties five more), because a fake clean sweep is no use to anyone trying to choose between the two.
What AI can I use to reply in LiveChat?
⚡
TL;DR: LiveChat gives you two AI layers: agent-assist (Text Copilot, Reply Suggestions) bundled into your seats, and autonomous deflection through a separate ChatBot by Text subscription. My AskAI is a single dedicated agent you install into your existing helpdesk.
"LiveChat's AI" is two different things wearing one brand. There's the agent-assist layer, Text Intelligence / Text Copilot (Reply Suggestions, Tag Suggestions, Chat Summary, Text Enhancement, AI Insights), which comes bundled into your LiveChat seats and exists to make your human agents faster. Then there's the autonomous, customer-facing bot that answers without a human in the loop, and that is a separate product: ChatBot by Text, with its own subscription and its own knowledge base.
That split runs through everything below. When LiveChat markets "resolve up to 80% of tickets with AI," it's talking about ChatBot, the thing you buy on top. The AI that's included in a LiveChat plan mostly drafts and suggests; it hands the answer to a person rather than resolving the conversation itself.
Breakdown showing LiveChat's AI is two separate products: bundled agent-assist (Text Copilot and Reply Suggestions) that drafts for a human, and autonomous deflection through ChatBot by Text, a separate subscription billed $0.99 per resolution.
My AskAI takes the opposite approach: one dedicated AI agent that installs into the helpdesk you already use and resolves tickets right there in your existing stack. If your team runs Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, HubSpot or Gorgias today, My AskAI answers inside those tickets and that chat, and everything else in your setup stays exactly where it is.
My AskAI does not integrate with LiveChat. LiveChat is its own helpdesk, and it isn't one of the five we plug into.
This comparison weighs LiveChat's built-in AI against a dedicated agent that runs inside a different helpdesk. That difference bites hardest on lock-in.
LiveChat's review base is much larger, which is what you'd expect from a mature platform that's been around far longer than the current wave of AI agents. For context on our side, My AskAI is used by 200+ ecommerce and SaaS businesses, and our agents have now resolved more than 1,000,000 tickets.
How does an AI customer service agent work in LiveChat?
⚡
TL;DR: Both connect to your knowledge and answer customer questions; the difference is where the AI lives. LiveChat's AI lives inside LiveChat's own widget and stack; My AskAI lives inside your existing helpdesk and replies as your agent.
Underneath, both work the same way. You point the AI at your knowledge, it retrieves the relevant material for each incoming question, and it writes a grounded answer instead of a canned decision-tree response. Both sides wrap frontier LLMs to do it (LiveChat's own sub-processor list names OpenAI and Google despite the "standalone" marketing; My AskAI is multi-model, predominantly OpenAI with Anthropic and Google used where they win on a given task).
Where they diverge is where the AI lives. LiveChat runs two parallel knowledge systems: the LiveChat Knowledge Hub that powers Copilot and Reply Suggestions, and a separate ChatBot AI Knowledge base that feeds the autonomous bot. If you want both the agent-assist and the deflection, you're maintaining knowledge in two places across two products.
LiveChat Knowledge Hub, the training UI behind Copilot and Reply Suggestions
There's a structural quirk on the ChatBot side: scripted flows take precedence over the AI. In ChatBot's own words, the bot first searches for an answer within the bot structure, and only when there's no scripted answer does it fall back to the AI modules. That's a flow-builder with AI bolted on, which is a different philosophy from an AI agent that reasons over your knowledge first.
My AskAI's end-to-end flow is simpler because there's only one system. You connect your knowledge, install the app into your helpdesk (10 to 15 minutes, no code), test in Internal Notes mode where the AI drafts replies as private notes only, flip to direct replies when you're happy, and hand over to a human with an AI-written summary whenever the AI can't answer or the customer asks.
It self-learns from the human replies that follow, and takes actions like refunds or order lookups through Tasks and Tools when you want it to. No decision trees, no second knowledge base.
What are the different ways I can use an AI agent in LiveChat?
⚡
TL;DR: Both do direct customer replies and an agent copilot. My AskAI adds an internal-notes mode, so you can run it silently alongside your current setup before it ever faces a customer, which LiveChat doesn't offer.
Direct replies
The headline mode on both sides is the AI replying directly to the customer. On LiveChat that's ChatBot, the separate autonomous product, answering in the widget.
On My AskAI it's the agent answering inside your helpdesk's own chat, messaging and email channels. This is the mode that deflects volume. On the LiveChat side it costs you a second subscription; on ours it's the core product.
Copilot replies
Both also have a copilot for human agents. LiveChat's Text Copilot (launched with cmd+G / ctrl+G) suggests replies and summarizes conversations, and it's private per agent, so it can't be seen by other agents or administrators. My AskAI's copilot is the AI Copilot Chrome Extension: it works inside any of our integrated helpdesks, carries no per-seat charge, and is included on every plan.
LiveChat's Reply Suggestions drafting a canned reply for a human agent to review and click Use
Internal note replies
This mode is My AskAI-only. It's where I'd start if you're nervous about turning AI loose on live customers. In Internal-Notes mode, the AI drafts a full reply on every ticket but posts it as a private internal note the customer never sees.
The My AskAI agent inside Intercom replying in internal-notes mode, drafting a private note the customer never sees
You run My AskAI side by side with whatever you're doing now, and compare its drafted answers against what your team sends. It's the zero-risk way to prove quality before a single customer-facing message goes out.
LiveChat has no equivalent risk-free notes layer. Text Copilot is an assist tool, and ChatBot has a testing tool you chat with before publishing, but there's no mode that drafts on your real, live tickets so you can grade it against your team without any customer exposure. On My AskAI you can also set this per tag: each category of ticket can be configured to get a direct reply, an internal-note draft, or no reply at all.
Which is easier to setup, LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: LiveChat's agent-assist AI turns on instantly because it's bundled, but real deflection means standing up a second product (ChatBot) and its own knowledge base. My AskAI is a roughly 10-minute connect into your existing helpdesk with no second subscription.
If you're already on the platform, LiveChat's agent-assist AI is close to zero-setup. Reply Suggestions and Text Copilot are part of the platform, so they light up without you doing anything. For an existing LiveChat team that just wants its agents to draft faster, that's frictionless.
LiveChat's Text Copilot drafting a suggested reply for a human agent to send
The friction starts when you want the AI to resolve tickets on its own. That means standing up ChatBot as a separate product, then building out its knowledge base from scratch. That's the part I'd budget real time for: standing up ChatBot means learning a whole second product.
LiveChat's Knowledge Hub is restrictive on what you can feed it: on the Team plan you get 3 sites and 10 files, on Business/Enterprise 10 sites and 30 files, capped at 2,000 pages per source. Its deeper automation, integration and analytics carry a real learning curve once you're past the basics.
My AskAI is a roughly 10-to-15-minute, no-code connect into the helpdesk you already run: sign up, connect your knowledge (help centers, websites, Shopify), and install our app from your helpdesk's marketplace. There's no second subscription and no second knowledge base to maintain.
How To Add an AI Agent To Your Helpdesk in 10 Min | Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Gorgias
Teams switching over from a native AI like Fin or Zendesk AI are usually live in under a day. That free, easy setup on LiveChat is agent-assist only, though: the bundled AI drafts and suggests, and getting real deflection still means standing up ChatBot as a separate product.
How do My AskAI and LiveChat differ in what they can be trained on?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI trains on more source types out of the box (Drive, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, Salesforce, Shopify, and your last 5,000 historic tickets). LiveChat's AI trains mainly on websites and PDFs, split across two separate knowledge systems (LiveChat Knowledge Hub and ChatBot).
Answer quality is downstream of what the AI is allowed to read. My AskAI connects to a wide set of knowledge sources: Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, a Salesforce connector for your knowledge pages, Shopify, plus your help center, websites, and direct PDF or DOCX uploads.
The knowledge page in the My AskAI dashboard, showing the sources the agent is trained on
For live data (order status, account lookups), it reads through the User Data API and the pre-built Shopify connector. And you can mark any source internal-only so it powers Copilot and internal answers without ever surfacing to a customer.
LiveChat is narrower and, again, split in two. The Knowledge Hub that feeds Copilot and Reply Suggestions takes websites and PDFs only, with the same caps.
The ChatBot side is more generous (up to 5,000 sources across websites, files, articles, its KnowledgeBase product and a Zendesk help-center scan), but it's a different product with a different knowledge base. Neither side trains on your past customer conversations.

That "the AI is only as good as your docs" problem is real for any agent, which is why we built Train on Historic Tickets. If you don't have a polished help center yet, My AskAI can auto-draft starter knowledge from your last resolved tickets (the default backfill is 5,000, more on request), so a team starting from scratch isn't stuck writing a knowledge base before the AI can do anything useful. LiveChat has no equivalent; you're curating its knowledge by hand from the start.
Which has better answer quality, LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: Roughly equivalent on clean tier-1 questions, since both wrap frontier LLMs. The real gap is that LiveChat's bundled AI hands a human the answer, while My AskAI is built to resolve autonomously and can show you exactly what knowledge it used.
On a clean, well-documented tier-1 question ("where's my order," "how do I reset my password," "what's your return window"), the two land in a similar place. Both retrieve from your knowledge and both wrap current frontier models, so raw answer quality on the easy cases is close.
The meaningful gap is what happens after the AI has an answer. LiveChat's bundled AI is agent-assist: it drafts a suggestion and a human sends it. My AskAI is built to resolve the conversation autonomously and only hands off when it needs to.
And when you want to know why it said what it said, you can ask Echo (our in-dashboard, team-facing assistant) why the agent gave any answer and which knowledge source it used. That traceability is what makes the autonomy trustworthy: you can always see the working.
LiveChat publishes no measured resolution rate; the "up to 80%" (with ChatBot) and "up to 60%" (on the /ai page) figures are aspirational ceilings the marketing hopes for, so take them with a grain of salt. The one hard number in its own 2025 customer service report is a chatbot-handled CSAT of 64.7%, a satisfaction score that tells you nothing about how many tickets got deflected.
For where the field sits, our AI resolution rate benchmarks (an aggregate across 195 deployments and roughly 55 vendors) put the field median AI-handling rate around 70%, though the label moves the number a lot (call it "resolution" and it's ~72.5%, call it "automation" and it's ~61%). Treat that as directional context only: it's a self-selected sample, it's an aggregate, and resolution rates aren't apples-to-apples across vendors, so it's not a head-to-head scoreboard between us and LiveChat. For reference, My AskAI runs at about 72% resolution on a rolling 30-day basis across our customer base, where "resolved" means the AI handled it without escalating to a human, and escalation is made easy so that number stays reliable.
Spectrum of AI resolution rates from 0 to 100 percent: a cautious deployment at 26%, the field median at 70% across 195 deployments and roughly 55 vendors, My AskAI at about 72%, and a mature rollout at 95%.
Which AI agent is easier to improve over time: LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI self-learns from your agents' actual replies and lets you batch-test against sample questions before going live. LiveChat's improvement loop is manual knowledge curation, with no simulation mode against your historical tickets.
LiveChat's path to a better bot is hand-curation. Its own guidance is to be selective with sources and keep to roughly 300 to 400 pages for optimal accuracy, and improving an answer means editing the underlying text and waiting for the next sync. ChatBot has a testing tool you can chat with before publishing, which is useful, but there's no way to simulate the bot against your real historical tickets, and there's no documented thumbs-up/down learning signal feeding back into the model.
My AskAI improves itself in the background. Self-Learning compares the AI's draft to the human agent's actual reply on handed-over tickets and auto-drafts new knowledge articles from the difference, so your knowledge base fills its own gaps every week without engineering work.
The Improve, Custom Answers section of the My AskAI dashboard, showing how to add a new custom answer
On top of that you get batch Testing and QA against sample questions, and Internal-Notes mode is a broad, continuous testing layer on live traffic. When something looks off, you ask Echo why the agent answered the way it did and which source it pulled from, then fix that source directly. (Self-Learning improves answers and knowledge; it's not a tagging-accuracy mechanism, which is a separate thing.)
LiveChat's bot gets better when someone finds time to curate it; My AskAI gets better as a by-product of your team doing their job.
Which has more features, LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: This is where LiveChat leads. It's a full live-chat platform: website widget, native Messenger/WhatsApp/Instagram/SMS inbox, in-chat voice and video, 200+ marketplace integrations, and Shopify AI selling agents. My AskAI is narrower by design: a support AI agent focused on the agentic support features that actually resolve tickets.
On raw feature breadth, LiveChat is the one to beat. It's a mature, full-featured live-chat platform, and My AskAI isn't trying to be one. If you don't already have a support tool and you want one polished product doing human chat, an inbox and automation, LiveChat has more in the box.
LiveChat's 200+ integration marketplace, part of its full-platform breadth
Its channels are the clearest example: a native website widget, a built-in inbox spanning Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Apple Messages, SMS (via Twilio) and Telegram, plus Snapcall in-chat voice and video. There are 200+ marketplace integrations, a developer platform, and, since the May 2026 Text rebrand, Shopify AI Selling Agents built to push revenue beyond ticket deflection.
My AskAI is narrower by design. We're a support AI agent that lives in your helpdesk and answers wherever your helpdesk routes conversations, including social messages when your helpdesk brings them in.
What we do have is the agentic support layer: Tasks (natural-language, multi-step workflows with no decision trees), Tools and Actions that call your own APIs to issue refunds, cancellations and order updates, User Data for live account lookups, Internal-Notes testing, and historic-ticket training. Those Actions run autonomously or as propose-then-approve, per action, your call.

LiveChat has the broader platform; My AskAI has the deeper resolution toolkit. Which matters more depends on whether you're buying a support platform or adding an AI agent to one you already have.
Is it easy to customize My AskAI and LiveChat?
⚡
TL;DR: Both give you real control. LiveChat leans on widget theming, white-label and a visual ChatBot flow builder; My AskAI leans on natural-language Guidance, persona and Tasks, with no decision trees. Roughly a tie.
LiveChat's customization is strongest on the surface and the flow. You get widget theming, dark mode, your logo, 48 widget languages, right-to-left support, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, and white-labeling on Enterprise. On the ChatBot side you get Custom Instructions up to 10,000 characters, tone presets (professional, concise, friendly, casual, polite), response-length control, and a visual flow builder for anyone who wants to script exact paths.
My AskAI's customization is strongest on behavior. You write natural-language Guidance across three types (Communication & Style, Context & Clarification, and Handover & Escalation), set a persona, and use Tasks for multi-step procedures, all without a single decision tree. Multibrand lets you run a separate agent per brand or region, and Custom Domains let you host your AskAI on your own domain so "myaskai.com" doesn't appear anywhere.
The Guidance feature in the My AskAI dashboard, where you steer the agent's behaviour in natural language
Neither is ahead. LiveChat gives you more knobs on the widget and a visual builder; we give you more control over how the agent reasons and speaks in plain English. I'd call it a tie, decided by whether you prefer configuring a flow or writing instructions.
What about vendor lock-in?
⚡
TL;DR: LiveChat's AI only works inside LiveChat's own stack, and a trained ChatBot can't move with you. My AskAI carries across all five helpdesks it supports, so switching from Zendesk to Intercom later brings your trained agent, custom answers, guidance and tasks along.
Adopting LiveChat for its AI means re-platforming your support into LiveChat's world. Text Copilot and Reply Suggestions are LiveChat-native, and a trained ChatBot lives inside LiveChat's ecosystem; it can't come with you if you ever leave.
If you outgrow LiveChat, or a different helpdesk suits you better in two years, the AI you spent months training doesn't move. You rebuild it.
My AskAI is built the other way round. Because it's an agent that layers onto the helpdesk you already run, the same trained agent carries across all five helpdesks we support: Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot.
Breakdown of what a trained My AskAI agent carries with it when you change helpdesk: custom answers, guidance rules, tasks and actions, and self-learned knowledge — portable across Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot, unlike LiveChat's locked-in AI.
Switch from Zendesk to Intercom down the line and your trained agent, custom answers, guidance and tasks come along; you don't start over. (Most teams run it inside one helpdesk at a time. The value is portability: if you switch, the agent comes with you, so you're never trapped.)
Switching to an all-in-one platform and adding AI to the helpdesk you already run are two different decisions.
A team with a real helpdesk shouldn't have to re-platform to get a great AI agent, or stack a chat platform plus a separate bot plus a per-resolution overage across two products.
Does LiveChat or My AskAI have any other AI features?
⚡
TL;DR: Both bundle extras. LiveChat's agent-assist suite is broad (tag suggestions, chat summary, text enhancement, AI insights, sentiment, Shopify selling agents). My AskAI's extras (100%-conversation CSAT scoring, live translation, agentic Tasks) are aimed squarely at resolution and ops.
Tagging
Both auto-tag conversations. My AskAI's Tagging runs natively in Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk and Freshchat, classifies on the incoming message text, and costs $0.05 per attribute per ticket.
The Auto-tagging setup for Intercom within the My AskAI dashboard
It works off your existing helpdesk tags (each expanded into a full definition you can review and edit) and doubles as a spend and routing control: because a tag is billed separately from a reply, you can tag a class of tickets you don't want the AI to answer and route them to a human, paying only the 5c tag. Each tag can be set to reply directly, draft an internal note, or not reply at all. LiveChat's Tag Suggestions are part of its bundled agent-assist suite.
Agent translation
My AskAI supports 95 languages auto-detected per message, and adds Live Translation in Intercom ($0.05/ticket) so a human agent can read and reply across a language barrier on handover. LiveChat offers a 48-language widget UI plus a Message Translator marketplace app as an add-on; the number of languages its AI handles isn't published.
Sentiment / CSAT prediction
LiveChat has a Sentiment Analysis feature in early access on the Business plan. My AskAI's Insights scores 100% of your conversations for AI CSAT (not the usual 2 to 10% sample), groups every conversation into topics, and surfaces the ones that need attention. If you're trying to manage quality at volume, scoring every conversation is the more useful default.
LiveChat's AI Insights, part of its bundled agent-assist analytics suite, ranking the week's most-asked customer questions
The pattern holds across the extras: LiveChat's suite is broad and aimed at making human agents productive, while ours is aimed at resolving tickets and running the operation.
What about security, is LiveChat more secure than My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: Close, with a genuine trade-off. My AskAI holds SOC 2 Type II and GDPR; LiveChat reached SOC 2 Type I only (Dec 2025) and lists no ISO 27001, but LiveChat offers HIPAA readiness (a BAA on Enterprise), which My AskAI does not.
My AskAI holds SOC 2 Type II and is GDPR compliant, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Your data is never used for model training or anything beyond serving your own tickets, and each customer runs in isolated containers.
LiveChat reached SOC 2 Type I in December 2025, with Type II still a future goal. Its security page lists no ISO 27001. It's GDPR compliant with an EU data-center option, and it offers HIPAA readiness via a BAA on its Enterprise plan.
The comparison cuts both ways. On the general audit trail, My AskAI is ahead: a completed SOC 2 Type II beats a Type I.
But if you're in a regulated space that needs a HIPAA BAA, LiveChat can offer one and My AskAI can't, so for that buyer LiveChat wins the security axis. LiveChat's "not built on OpenAI" marketing sits awkwardly next to its own sub-processor list, which names both OpenAI and Google.
Which costs more, LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI is the cheaper and more predictable model. LiveChat charges per agent AND per resolution across two products, so the bill rises as volume and resolution rise; My AskAI's flat $0.10 per ticket stays put.
The pricing model
LiveChat's AI has three line items across two products. First, per-agent LiveChat seats: $19 (Starter), $49 (Team) or $79 (Business) per agent per month on annual billing. Second, the ChatBot by Text subscription for actual deflection: $19 (Essential), $79 (Growth) or custom, per user per month, including 10 / 200 / 2,000+ resolutions.
Third, once you exhaust the included resolutions, a $0.99-per-resolution overage (auto-refilled in blocks). ChatBot counts a resolution at the conversation level: if a chat ends without the customer asking for more help after the AI's final reply, it's billed, once per conversation.
My AskAI is one flat number: $0.10 per ticket, billed on every ticket the AI handles whether or not it resolves. Pro is $199/mo (1,000 credits, $0.12 overage), Scale is $499/mo (2,000 credits, $0.10 overage), and Enterprise starts at $999. You pay when the AI works, even on the tickets it hands off, and the trade-off is that your bill stays flat as the AI gets better.
The overall cost
Let's put real numbers on it. Take a team doing 10,000 tickets a month. The like-for-like comparison is AI-to-AI (both figures sit on top of whatever you pay for support seats), so here's the AI line on each side:
My AskAI (Scale)
LiveChat (ChatBot)
Model
Flat $0.10 / ticket
$0.99 / resolution + a ChatBot seat
AI cost at 10k tickets, 50% resolution

AI cost at 10k tickets, 75% resolution

Direction as the AI improves
stays flat
rises
Free trial
30 days, all features, unlimited tickets, no card
14 days, no card
The My AskAI figure is resolution-independent: 2,000 included credits at $499 plus 8,000 overage at $0.10 is about $1,299, whether the AI resolves half your tickets or three-quarters of them. The LiveChat ChatBot line does the opposite, because every extra resolution is another $0.99. The better its bot gets, the bigger the invoice.
Line chart of the monthly AI bill at 10,000 tickets a month as AI resolution rate climbs from 40% to 80%. My AskAI's flat per-ticket cost holds at about $1,299 the whole way; LiveChat's ChatBot line rises from about $3,800 to nearly $7,800 at $0.99 per resolution plus a builder seat.
And that ChatBot AI line is only part of the LiveChat bill. Because LiveChat is a platform you'd be adopting (not the helpdesk you already run), you're also paying per-agent LiveChat seats for the tickets the bot doesn't deflect, so the full stack lands somewhere around $5,600 to $8,100/mo once you add human seats.
My AskAI's ~$1,299 runs on top of the helpdesk you already pay for; the LiveChat number assumes moving your support onto LiveChat itself. That's the all-in-one-versus-layer decision as a dollar figure.
This is the fork that made RecruitCRM choose us. They evaluated and rejected per-resolution pricing before landing on My AskAI (the $0.99-per-resolution math just didn't make sense for their volume) and now run 68% AI resolution on Intercom, saving about 62 hours a month. Edel Optics tells the flat-bill story from the ecommerce side: after adding the User Data API themselves, they went from around 25% to 79% AI resolution on Zendesk, saving roughly 150 hours a month, with the bill staying predictable the whole way up.
Operators who've run per-outcome pricing say the same thing about its downside. As one put it, "you can do a hybrid approach where you charge a monthly fee that includes a given number of outcomes… The challenge is what happens if the customer needs more than [that]."
Another was blunter about the forecasting pain: per-result pricing is "definitely going to make forecasting, cash flow, and budgeting difficult until you have a really good data set." That's the volatility a flat per-ticket rate removes. Reviewers on Capterra and GetApp separately flag LiveChat's per-user pricing and paying extra for certain features as recurring drawbacks, and independent write-ups note the AI is sold separately and isn't cheap.
Whichever way you go, you can prove it first: My AskAI's 30-day free trial unlocks every feature with unlimited tickets and no card, so you can validate the resolution rate on your own tickets before you pay anything. Full pricing is on the My AskAI pricing page.
Conclusion - should I choose LiveChat or My AskAI?
⚡
TL;DR: My AskAI wins the AI-agent contest on price, lock-in, improvement and training; LiveChat wins on platform breadth and is the right pick if you need an all-in-one live-chat platform or don't already run a helpdesk.
If you already run a helpdesk and you want an AI agent that resolves tickets at a flat, portable, predictable cost, My AskAI is the pick. If you have no support platform yet and you want one polished all-in-one tool, LiveChat is a strong choice, and its bundled agent-assist AI will make your human agents faster from day one. The condition that flips it is whether you're buying a platform or adding AI to one you already have.

My AskAI takes the categories that reward a dedicated, portable agent: modes, training breadth, improvement, price and lock-in. Weight this by "what does a support team feel a year in?" and the predictable pricing and the ability to walk away with your trained agent matter more than the convenience of one bundled tool.
Choose LiveChat if:
You don't have a helpdesk yet and want one polished all-in-one live-chat and inbox platform.
You need native in-chat voice/video, or a built-in Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS inbox.
You're a Shopify store that wants AI selling agents pushing revenue on top of deflecting tickets.
You specifically need HIPAA readiness (a BAA).
If none of those are you, and you already run Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot, then you shouldn't have to re-platform your support (or stack a second product billed per resolution) just to get a great AI agent. That's the case for My AskAI.
If you want to see the same all-in-one-versus-layer fork from another angle, our My AskAI vs Alhena comparison covers it for another bundled platform, and our LiveChat AI pricing explainer digs deeper into the ChatBot-by-Text resolution math.
FAQs
Can My AskAI fully replace LiveChat's AI inside my support setup?
For the AI job (answering off your knowledge, taking actions, handing off to a human), yes. But My AskAI is not a LiveChat integration; LiveChat is its own helpdesk and isn't one of the five we plug into.
You wouldn't run My AskAI inside LiveChat. If you already run Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias or HubSpot, My AskAI adds the autonomous AI that LiveChat would otherwise sell you as a separate ChatBot subscription. If LiveChat is your platform and you want to keep it as your platform, My AskAI isn't the drop-in.
What can each AI agent be trained on?
My AskAI trains on a much wider set of sources. LiveChat's AI leans on websites and PDFs, split across two separate knowledge systems, and neither side trains on your past conversations. Here's the short version:

How long does setup take and do we need developers?
My AskAI's standard install is about 10 to 15 minutes with no code, and no developers are needed to get the agent live on your knowledge (only custom Tools and APIs depend on your own team's time). On LiveChat, the bundled agent-assist AI is instant if you're already on the platform, but real deflection means standing up ChatBot as a second product and building its knowledge base, which is more work than the "instant AI" marketing implies.
How do My AskAI vs LiveChat pricing models differ, and what might we actually pay?
My AskAI is flat per-ticket; LiveChat is per-agent seats plus a separate ChatBot product plus a $0.99-per-resolution overage. At 10,000 tickets a month:
My AskAI
LiveChat (ChatBot AI line)

~$4,831/mo
At 75% resolution
~$1,299/mo, flat
~$7,306/mo

14 days, no card
My AskAI's bill is resolution-independent; LiveChat's ChatBot line rises as the bot resolves more, and that AI line sits on top of LiveChat's own per-agent seats.
Can they handle multilingual support and agent translations?
Both do multilingual support. My AskAI covers 95 languages auto-detected per message, and adds Live Translation in Intercom ($0.05/ticket) so a human agent can read and reply across a language barrier on handover.
LiveChat has a 48-language widget UI plus a Message Translator marketplace app as an add-on. Either is plenty for most teams; My AskAI spans more languages and adds the agent-side translation layer.
How do they compare on security and compliance?
My AskAI holds SOC 2 Type II and GDPR, with AES-256 encryption, TLS in transit, isolated per-customer containers and no use of your data for model training. LiveChat reached SOC 2 Type I only (December 2025, with Type II still to come) and lists no ISO 27001, but it does offer HIPAA readiness via a BAA on Enterprise, which My AskAI does not. So My AskAI is ahead on the general audit trail, while LiveChat wins for a buyer who needs HIPAA.
Will I be locked in to one help desk?
With LiveChat, yes: its AI lives inside LiveChat's stack, and a trained ChatBot can't leave with you, so switching means rebuilding. With My AskAI, no: the same trained agent runs across Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias and HubSpot, and if you change helpdesk your custom answers, guidance and tasks come with you; you don't start over.
Does each one offer a free trial?
Both do, with no card required. My AskAI's trial is 30 days with all features unlocked and unlimited tickets, so you can measure the real resolution rate on your own tickets. LiveChat and ChatBot each offer a 14-day trial, with no permanent free tier.
