- Automating Basic Tasks: Companies can level up the service they provide by automating the basic tasks, e.g., L1 support, and instead focus on more complex or valuable tasks.
- Misconception: Too often, we hear "AI will replace people's jobs! 😡"
My Perspective
- Wrong Framing: I think this is the wrong framing. Surely we want to automate basic knowledge worker tasks, in the same way we have with manufacturing.
- Freedom for Impactful Work: It frees us, as people, to do much more interesting and impactful work.
- Fulfillment: If AI can do the same work as someone right now, today, to the same standard, then I doubt that work is hugely fulfilling.
