It's Not About AI Replacing Jobs or People. It's About AI Replacing Tasks.

My Perspective

  1. Wrong Framing: I think this is the wrong framing. Surely we want to automate basic knowledge worker tasks, in the same way we have with manufacturing.
  1. Freedom for Impactful Work: It frees us, as people, to do much more interesting and impactful work.
  1. Fulfillment: If AI can do the same work as someone right now, today, to the same standard, then I doubt that work is hugely fulfilling.
