This is what AI-powered natural language search looks like at scale.
How it works 👇
- Instead of matching on keywords for search, e.g. "balloons", "face paint", etc.
- Natural language search (A.K.A. vector search) can match based on similar meaning. The search is looking for products with a description that you'd associate with something like "a birthday for kids".
- For example, "balloons" and "face paint" are words you would associate with a kids birthday party.
- So these products are considered relevant, even though the customer didn't use any of those words.
One final example 👇
- Consider the search term "kitten". In a vector search world, words similar to this are; cat, dog, wolf.
- And other similar phrases would be "small fury and cute" or "whiskers".
