There's a lot we can learn from the porn industry on tech adoption. Hear me out. There is no other industry that is quicker at adopting new tech and seeing how it can make things better. They pioneered and pushed in areas like:
- Internet
- Video (remember Flash?)
- Secure logins
- Membership sites
- Credit card verification
- High-quality video streaming
- AI
This industry can look at new tech objectively. They're not worried about cannibalising parts of their business. They don't want to keep the status quo. They just want the best possible experience for their end users.
