Zendesk's New AI Pricing: A Costly Surprise
Zendesk just released pricing for their new AI features. It ain’t pretty.
A lot of people have been complaining about how expensive Intercom’s AI features are. So I’m really surprised to see Zendesk charging up to 50% more.

What is an AI Resolved Conversation?
An AI (or automatically) resolved conversation is when a customer doesn’t request to speak to a person.
Depending on how good the AI offering is, the AI resolution rate could be between 40-80%. Intercom promises around 50%, so we can expect something similar from Zendesk.
The Painful Pricing Model
The thing I find most painful about this pricing model is that as you improve your content and fill gaps in the AI's knowledge — and improve the AI resolution rate — you’ll end up paying more.
I like that the pricing is aligned to value, but it doesn’t feel right to punish the business if they’re putting in work to improve the AI’s ability to resolve a conversation.
