Ouch. A very painful-to-read review of Zendesk's new AI feature.

Zendesk has a very lively and active sub-reddit, where customers can share experiences and ask questions. Reddit being Reddit, these people call it how they see it. This particular post is about Zendesk's new AI support agent feature, that's supposed to answer customer questions from your help docs. But it fails to deliver.

  1. Vague answers
  1. Incorrect answers
  1. Fails to understand questions

These are table stakes for AI support. It's a reminder of how hard some large companies will find it when trying to re-invent their existing business with an AI.

The good news? Enormous opportunities for startups, like My AskAI, to compete. Not with the entire Zendesk platform. But with their AI capabilities. It's why we built our native Zendesk integration. So you can keep the support tool your team is used to using, but you can leverage state-of-the-art AI customer support.
